Many people view coaching as a service profession. I believe if coaching is anything, it is a modeling profession.
Coaching is a partnership and that means modeling a relationship where we both get our needs met.
So let me ask you. If you were to decide what to pay for this investment in yourself from a place of joy, what would be willing to pay?
Some people choose to pay my published rate, and that is fine with me. Some people have felt a little uncomfortable with the question, yet after much thinking come up with a number that is some combination of "will she accept it?" and "I won't feel guilty." That approach can work as well.
Now, if you’re wondering what is right for you, here’s an approach to picking a number. Place your hand on your heart and breathe deeply. As you breathe put your focus on your heart area. Now feel appreciation for someone, something. Keep breathing. Different thoughts and images might come into your mind. Notice these. Now smile. When you think of different numbers, do you notice shifts in your facial muscles? Does a particular number make you want to smile bigger, break out in a laugh? What would happen if you trusted that response more than your thinking process?
