Catch happiness - it’s good for your social network
December 5th, 2008 -
It’s a good idea to be in the center of a happy circle of friends and family.
Researchers, led by Nicholas Christakis, have found that each additional happy contact you have in your social network increases your chances of being happy.
As well, your happiness affects your social contacts as well.
“They found that when a person becomes happy, a friend living close by has a 25 percent higher chance of becoming happy themselves. A spouse experiences an 8 percent increased chance and for next-door neighbors, it’s 34 percent.” Allison Aubrey
Happiness always spreads between people. See. Misery doesn’t want company!
Increase your chances for happiness by building a happy social network. You help others when you get happier.
